Is Perth easy to travel to?
21 international and 13 domestic and regional airlines operate scheduled services to and from Perth, connecting to more than 110 destinations around Australia and overseas.
At Perth Airport, the international terminal operates 24 hours a day and is known as Terminal 1 (T1). Qantas operates their international and domestic flights from Terminal 3 and 4 (T3/T4). Terminals 2, 3 and 4 (T2, T3 and T4) are the domestic and regional terminals.
Is it too far to travel?
Perth is only two flights away from major destinations such as Europe, the United Kingdom and the USA. Perth is the only Australian city offering a daily direct flight to London. There are also direct flights from New Zealand and from most major cities in Asia.

What is the time difference in Perth?
Australia is divided into three time zones:
Western Standard
UTC/GMT + 8 Hours
This applies to Western Australia including Perth and is the same time zone as Singapore, Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Manila and Taipei.
Central Standard
UTC/GMT + 10 Hours
This applies to South Australia and Northern Territory
Eastern Standard
UTC/GMT + 10 Hours
This applies to Queensland, New South Wales, Australian Capital Territory, Victoria and Tasmania.
Daylight saving does not apply in Western Australia or Queensland, however most states, advance clocks forward by one hour between the first Sunday in October and then back one hour on the first Sunday in April the following year.
Banking, Currency and Credit Cards
Banking hours in Western Australia generally operate 9.30am to 4.00pm Monday to Thursday, and until 5.00pm on Friday. Some banks and credit card societies are open on Saturdays for limited hours. Automatic Teller Machines (ATMs) are widely available across the city.
Is Perth easy to get around?
There is a Free Transit Zone (FTZ) allowing free travel on any public transport at all times in the city. In addition to accessing regularly scheduled buses and trains servicing local commuters, visitors to Perth are also available to travel free on Transperth’s CAT buses which offer a fast and convenient means of travelling in and around Perth’s CBD. This range of free services connects delegates to all the major attractions, venues and hotels.
Taxis
Taxis are usually plentiful in Perth with dedicated ranks available at major shopping hubs and nightspots during the busiest times. A cab fare from the domestic airport terminal to Perth Central Business District (CBD) is around $35 and from the international airport around $43.
Buses
Transperth (public transport) offers a regular bus service from the airport. There are also a number of private shuttle bus services available.
Rideshare
Uber and other ride sharing companies are available in Perth.
